I think i have around 1.5 hours when I'm on 3g/internet, but i have no clue how much worse it is compared to os X.

I have some problems with wlan/3g sometimes, when i wake it up from sleep mode i see no active wlans even tho there should be. Usually i just have to toggle the lid and it works again.

Probably will keep this computer free and buy a new caged iMac for iOS development. Or the new Mac book pro?

Re: Linux on my Macbook Air

Lol the song fits perfect, the unix force in a cage of osX...what an impressive image.
Never had this in mind before.
What about battery runtime in compare with osX?

Re: 2k10 summary

Hey Patrick,

Hope everything is good in Norway, give us a holla when you get back to Malmö!

Any new startups planned?

Re: 2k10 summary

Good luck man! I would recommend trying out the vim-tutor that comes packaged with vim in most distros.

All feedback on my vim configuration is appreciated, good luck!

Re: Malmö Mass Mingling

Also forgot to add http://codemocracy.se, a coding event we will visit in september with with http://popdevelop.com

Re: Malmö Mass Mingling

Thanks for the feedback, I added some more information to the Medea text and updated the kujenga text with its new open logo :)

Re: Vim 7.3a beta released

I've been thinking about trying Vim for a while now but never got the time to do it. If you upvote a track, the cost of the track should be devided between the adder and all the upvoters, that makes it cheap to play music that most people like?

Re: Social Music Idea for Dogvibes

Thanks for the feedback!

I guess someones need to have veto for pause/play/volume/next/prev to be able to lower the volume when the neighbour knocks on the door. I like the other ideas, I'll update the blog post with the later tonight.

Re: Social Music Idea for Dogvibes

I think the basic concept is cool and could work really well.
Some ideas:
1) You can't vote more than one time on a song.
You can still use your songcurrency on other songs, but to use all the currency you will actually have to care about what others want to listen to as well.

2) Allow only upvotes.
I don't see any reason to have down votes since if the community is active; songs no one wants to listen to will always have more votes.

3) Number of initial votes for a song is based on that users previous vote history.
Like slashdots commenting system. A person choosing songs that consistently gets a high number of uploads will get x number of starting votes on a new song they add to the playlist. Or maybe the user can choose to spend some currency received by getting upvotes.

What is your plan for the normal control buttons (play|pause, stop, fwd, bck)?
The person controlling those will essentially have a veto on all music played. Perhaps you'll just have to trust the host to do the right thing?

Re: Social Music Idea for Dogvibes

Nice summary Joel!

Re: Social Music Idea for Dogvibes

Nice work Joel!!

Re: Linux on my Macbook Air

Small update to fix the mousepad after sleep, added the direct link from anons post.

Re: Linux on my Macbook Air

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/port...

Re: Hello world

Hey, thanks for the comment!
testing disqus replys, ping!

Re: Hacks, Ideas and Creativity

Thanks for the comment! trying out disqus commenting system, will this reply give you a notice over mail?

Re: Hacks, Ideas and Creativity

Nice!
